CONCEPT: Everyone goes through dark times whether they know it or not. But there is always something beautiful that comes from the darkness.

ARCHITECTURAL CONCEPT: The structure of the flagship is suppose to resemble a diamond. Diamonds are formed under pressure and are considered the strongest and most beautiful elements.

PURPOSE: Alexander McQueen stood out in the fashion industry in the sense that he didn't follow the norm, he thought creatively and designed uniquely. He empowered women, and his most influence came from nature. These elements and concepts are reflected throughout the flagship.

INSPIRATION: Alexander McQueen suffered from depression which unfortunately led to his suicide. Being able to relate personally and to the depth of knowing these challenges and struggles to such a prestigious designer was a huge impact in the design of this overall concept and model. Everyone goes through dark times but we have to see the light that shines through, there is always something positive that comes out of the negative. Mental health is a growing problem in our society and everyone deals with something of their own. Designing a space to impact the emotional reaction of the ones in the space is one of the main goals.
