The floor plan was carefully articulated to create the most useful flow and circulation through the space. The bar placed in a central location for easy access and to showcase the feature wood instillation above the bar. Radial formation from the bar was created using pathways and seating to imitate wood rings which is the branding for the brewing company.
These graphics and parti's were designed to reflect the general vision and ideas for the layouts and functions of the space. Graphics like these are helpful to see the break down of the vision for the space in a simplified graph.
A live edge booth that goes around the entire tasting room creates one of the rings of the layout. Keeping it simple with leather pillows and natural hides and throws creates a softness and offers a more natural comfort element. The iconic wish bone chairs compliment the natural wood bench. Concrete tables that look like they are sprouted from the floor gives a simplistic reference to nature and trees sprouting.

SMFB
brewery & tasting room
SMFB is a conceptual commercial design project based on a Norwegian beer brand.
In depth research and development was conducted on the process of brewing as well as the functions of each brew tank and how one another connected to produce the beer.

Spatial programming was conducted for the tasting room, circulation of pathways and seating that offers a variety for all individuals was designed around the overall concept behind this Norwegian brand.

The concept behind SMFB is inspired through the layers in the rings of a tree. The wood ring based branding represents the simplistic complexity in the beauty of nature.
This beer is intended for an older crowd that is in-tuned with not only nature but their being with nature.
